The Comfrey Oil offered by L’Emporium Alchimique is the result of ancient knowledge and careful preparation. Made from fresh leaves of Symphytum officinale, hand-picked in the humid areas of the Swiss Alps, it is slowly macerated in high-quality organic sweet almond oil, following the principles of plant spagyria.

Comfrey, from the Latin consolidare – “to consolidate”, is a major medicinal plant in the European tradition. Known as “knitbone” or “cow tongue”, it has been used since Antiquity for its tissue regeneration properties. It was applied to fractures, sprains, old wounds or joint pain. In medieval herbal texts and grimoires, it is often linked to healing, repair, and the archetype of the healer.

Our oil is intended for external use only. It is used to:

• Support the regeneration of skin, muscles, and connective tissues

• Soothe joint pain, muscle tension, or bruises

• Support energetic care related to restoring bodily integrity

• Anoint objects or areas of the body during healing or symbolic repair rituals

The process follows a slow solar maceration over several weeks, in a purified environment, followed by gentle filtering and ritual sealing. Each bottle is prepared in small batches, with a spirit of respect and transmission.

The oil can be applied locally to targeted areas (knees, shoulders, lower back, etc.), or to energy centers linked to structure (root, hara). It can also be used in reconstruction rituals, after shock, emotional wounds, or periods of fragility.

Precautions for use:

This oil is for external use only. It must never be ingested. It is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or children under 12. Do not apply to open wounds, infected skin, or deep lesions. Always perform a patch test beforehand.
